About
Lizelle Haskins is an experienced advocate. She was previously an academic associate and lecturer at the University of Pretoria and thereafter an admitted and practicing advocate with the Pretoria Society of of Advocates, prior to her appointment as a Tax Specialist at the South African Revenue Service. Lizelle rejoined the Pretoria Society of Advocates in 2015 and she then joined PABASA in 2019.
Lizelle practices in all areas of general commercial law, with a particular interest in Tax Law, Customs and Excise Law, Company Law, Competition Law and Corporate Governance. Lizelle was appointed to the Companies Tribunal in 2014 as a Tribunal Member for five years and has served as an acting judge of the Gauteng Division of the High Court on numerous occasions, including in the Tax Court, since 2018. She previously served on various boards in both the public and private sectors and she currently serves on a public sector board. Lizelle is the recipient of numerous service and leadership awards and is deeply committed to community work. She has established and formed part of several non profit organizations focusing on youth and women in particular.
