Daniel Sive is a practising advocate with a commercial and public law practice spanning constitutional and administrative law, international trade and competition law, commercial litigation, arbitration, media law, tax law, insolvency law, intellectual property and aviation law. He is briefed in motion and trial proceedings in the High Courts, in matters before the Competition Appeal Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court, in domestic and international arbitrations, and before specialised tribunals including the Competition Tribunal and the International Trade Administration Commission.

Daniel was called to the Bar in 2022 following a clerkship at the Constitutional Court of South Africa under Justice Leona Theron, and postgraduate study as a Fulbright Scholar at New York University School of Law, where he subsequently served as a Fellow. He previously practised as an attorney at a large Johannesburg law firm, and served as an International Finance and Development Fellow with the United Nations Development Programme. He has published in the South African Law Journal.
