About
Nicola (‘Nic’) was admitted to the bar in early 2023. Her expertise lies at the intersection of public administration, economic regulation, and socio-economic rights. This has meant engaging in litigation on unfair competition, environmental regulation, public procurement, financial crimes, access to information, basic service delivery, and various constitutional challenges to policy, legislation, and executive and administrative action.
Nic presents and publishes on these topics regularly, most recently with a Routledge Companion chapter on international trade law, vaccine access and gendered inequality. She also serves on the committee of Young AFSA, an affiliate of the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa (AFSA). Prior to joining the Bar, Nic spent six years working with leading public interest law organisations in Colombia, India, Brazil and across Southern Africa. She is currently completing her LLM as a Canon Collins Scholar.
